Just kidding. Well, let's see, what to say about myself. . .I graduated from UNC-Pembroke in December 2003 with a bachelor's degree in English and Theatre Arts. So what do I do for a living with a degree like that? That's easy: I make soap.
Not what you expected, is it? *grin* It's okay. I seem to have that affect on people. :)
I've also never been able to find an corporate or retail job that "fit" me. I loathe boredom, and I cannot STAND stagnation. Doing the same thing over and over again that I really do not care about just doesn't appeal to me. When the economy forces my hand, I do what needs to be done, but if I had my druthers I'd rather work for myself any day of the week.
Soap making isn't exactly in my blood, but creativity sure is. My mother sews, bakes, and does crafts better than anyone I know. My father has been woodworking as long as I can remember, and both he and my grandfather were musicians. My mother even played the guitar and sang when I was little. I played trumpet for seven years, have been singing since I was old enough to talk, went to acting school and have dabbled in arts and crafts through church, Girl Scouts, school, and the SCA for as long as I've been alive. I suppose it isn't all that surprising that I started making things with my hands that would later become my source of income. . .and a great deal of enjoyment. :)
My imagination is larger than life. Living and thinking inside the box just isn't possible when you dream big. ;)
